“Wild Woman” is a visual invocation of the feminine soul in her rawest, most sacred form: untamed, intuitive, and deeply connected to the wisdom of the heart.
I painted her in a moment of remembering. Not just who I was before the world told me who to be, but who I still am underneath the noise. She came through me like a whisper from the forest. Barefoot, eyes wide with knowing, heart open but guarded by thorns she placed there herself. She was not asking to be understood. She was asking to be felt.
The green in this painting is the color of life, of moss underfoot and vines reclaiming stone. But most of all, green is the color of Anahata, the heart chakra. The center of compassion, forgiveness, truth, and inner wildness that cannot be controlled. This is the heart that breaks open so we can finally love ourselves whole.
This piece is deeply inspired by Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés — a book that felt less like reading and more like remembering. It reminded me that the wild woman is the pulse beneath our skin, the howl beneath our breath, the stillness beneath the chaos.
I created this for every woman who has ever been told she's “too much”, too emotional, too sensitive, too strong, too soft. This is your reminder: the wildness you carry is not something to hide. It's something to honor.
The greens represent not just nature, but your nature. Your capacity to feel deeply, to heal, to let go, and to return again and again to the truth of who you are. Her gaze is one of remembering, of seeing you, not just for who you pretend to be, but for who you truly are beneath the armor.
